TimberwolvesPress.com For media inquiries or emails please contact us at contact@timberwolvespress.com TimberwolvesPress.com was founded in October, 2007 for the sole purpose of providing Timberwolves fans with a site that they can go to for breaking news on the Timberwolves and for in-depth game/player analysis. We started out small but have now grown into one of the most popular Timberwolves sites on the Internet. TimberwolvesPress.com started out as FullCourtPressNews.com but then was switched to TimberwolvesPress.com in 2008 to help make the site more recognizable to Timberwolves fans. We try to different things here at TimberwolvesPress such as producing podcasts, creating comics, writing former player features and providing contests to give Timberwolves fans something different to view on the internet. On draft night in 2008, TimberwolvesPress took a big step forward when we were the first site on the Internet to report the OJ Mayo and Kevin Love Draft Day Trade. We are continuing to make improvements to the site and are open to any suggestions that you may have to make us more serviceable to you the fans. Alec Schimke- Webmaster/Writer Alec
Schimke is a journalism major at the University of Minnesota in
Minneapolis. He lists his favortites teams as the Timberwolves, Twins
and Cowboys (Yes the Cowboys...). Alec fell in love with sports at a
very young age and has had a passion for writing and talking about
sports since he can remember. As a young kid, rather than hanging out
with friends after school, Alec would be found studying box scores and
playing dynasty mode on NBA Live for Playstation. Alec misses the good
old days in the 1990's when the Timberwolves had Steph and KG and when
the Cowboys could actually win in the playoffs. He hopes to someday
land a job in sports working for a team as a journalist or in public
relations.
Joe Weise- Beat Writer  Joe
Weise is an Economics major at Carleton College in Northfield,
Minnesota. He is a fan of all Minnesota teams, along with the Celtics
and Dodgers. His all-time favorite basketball player is Larry Bird, and
his favorite active player is Chris Paul. Joe’s favorite time of
the year in sports is March Madness, but thinks the single greatest day
in sports is the Super Bowl. Above both of those, though, lies the
World Cup. Joe also participates in, and devotes hours of his time
every day to, fantasy sports. He is healthily addicted to the ABC
serial drama LOST, and wastes far too much of his time postulating and
“discovering” answers to the show. When Joe isn’t
watching LOST, he enjoys golfing, watching films, listening to KFAN,
and spending time with the few friends he actually has. Rachel McAdams:
